Janet Tomcavage, BSN, MSN currently serves as EVP, Chief Nurse Executive at Geisinger, overseeing the Nursing Institute, strategic planning, nursing practice, professional development, and care management, including Geisinger at Home. She focuses on aligning nursing services across care settings and advancing illness care.
Ms. Tomcavage has led population health initiatives, such as Geisinger’s ProvenHealth Navigator®, addressing social determinants of health and redesigning care models for vulnerable populations. She earned her BSN from Bloomsburg State College and her MSN from Misericordia University. A published author and national speaker, she was also the first nurse at Geisinger to win the Pennsylvania Nightingale Award for clinical excellence.
She is active in the American Nurse Association, American College of Healthcare Executives, and serves on several healthcare leadership councils.
